I’m Tara Van Kessel, a certified dental hygienist and a 2009 graduate of the APLUS Institute Dental Hygiene School in Ontario. I returned to the Bow Valley after graduating and chose Canmore as the place to live and raise my family. I enjoy the outdoor lifestyle, getting to know my neighbours and being part of this amazing community.
I love interacting with my clients. I launched my independent practice to reflect my desire to build rapport, understand my clients’ goals, offer the benefits of my expertise and experience, explain treatment options with zero pressure, and educate clients on optimal oral hygiene.

I’m Krista Petersen, I’m a certified dental hygienist and a 2008 graduate of the Toronto College of Dental Hygiene and Auxiliaries and have additional training from the University of Manitoba to deliver local Anesthetic. I was born and raised in Calgary, Alberta and have been living in beautiful Canmore since 2010, with my husband and two boys. I love the outdoors and have been an active member of the yoga community for years.
I take a whole body approach to dental health. I feel that the mouth is the portal to the human body. “You can tell so much about a person’s overall health from their mouths, not in a judgmental way but in a practical way”. I am a caring and a detailed-oriented hygienist that is dedicated to the dental profession.

Jocelyn
I’m Jocleyn Large, a registered Dental Hygienist with a passion for promoting healthy smiles. I graduated from Cambrian College in 2009 and received additional training for administration of local anesthesia at the University of Alberta. My career began working for my childhood dentist, where my passion for hygiene all began. Since 2010 I have been fortunate to call Canmore home where I enjoy play in the mountains with my family.
I take pride in being a part of a profession that plays a vital role in healthcare. My philosophy is rooted in prevention and education, and I’m dedicated to making dental care accessible. I have provided screenings and hygiene education to both the local community and underserved populations globally. I proudly volunteer with the Canmore Hospital Ladies Auxiliary.
